Future Imperfect is a modular expansion for Anachrony, designed to enhance the base games time travel aspect and player interaction. It includes three separate modules with various complexities that can be mixed and matched in the game. All three modules are compatible with each other, as well as most previously released modules and expansions of Anachrony, including Fractures of Time. In the Hypersync module, players can take an Action in the present and only place an Exosuit later - if they are willing to risk getting Paradoxes. In the Quantum loops module, players can open Time Rifts to parallel timelines and discover exciting new Warp effects, but they can only close the Quantum loops using a scientific breakthrough.In the Intrigues of the Council module, players outmaneuver their opponents to accomplish missions for the World Council. Successful missions not only earn players valuable rewards, but also allow them to manipulate the Council Agenda, a new endgame scoring system built by the players during the game.
